LITA FORD THE BITCH IS BACK...LIVE
ALBUM REVIEW
Lita Ford has announced the release of her new live album "The Bitch Is Back" available in Germany October 25th, Europe October 28th, and US/Canada November 5th through SPV/Steamhammer.
Lita is British born turned L.A rocker! At a young age she moved with her family to the United States, settling in Los Angeles. Inspired by Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, Ford started playing guitar at age 11. At age 16 she became a founding member of The Runaways, one of the first all girl punk groups busting balls in the male dominated music scene. Ford's lead guitar playing became an integral element in the band's sound until their breakup in 1979.
After The Runways breakup, Lita stepped up, front and center and concentrated on her solo career. She has eight studio albums under her belt with hits like "Close Your Eyes Forever" duet with Ozzy Osbourne, "What Do You Know About Love", "Shot Of Poison", and "Kiss Me Deadly."
"The Bitch Is Back....Live." was recorded at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California in early October 2012. Lita brought her full-on metal attitude for this show and served it up proper! As soon as the album started playing and she announced "The Bitch Is Back", I was smiling to myself. She performs a great cover of Elton John's song, kickin' it up a notch with her own personal touch. She goes way back in her catalogue performing classic title track hits like "Out For Blood" and "Dancing On The Edge." Lita performs five brand new songs on "The Bitch Is Back....Live" from her "Living Like A Runaway" album. "Relentless", my favorite out of the five, is a great song with a heavy riff, well written lyrics and Lita sang this one powerfully, totally owning it. That being said, the entire album is powerful and the band performed super tight with in-your-face rockin' roll.

Lita Ford made a fierce come-back this year. She's been working with Gary Hoey (producer and guitarist) Michael Dan Ehmig (lyricist), Nikki Six and Doug Aldrich. She is inspired and comes across feeling great about her music and so ready to rock, which she and her band did on this album!
