The legendary rock band Thin Lizzy is pleased to announce the release of two reissues - “Renegade” and a deluxe version of “Thunder and Lightning” - on the 23^rd September 2013.

First released in 1981, Renegade was Thin Lizzy’s 11^th studio album. Entering the UK and European Top 40, “Renegade” features the epic “Angel Of Death” and the melancholic “Renegade”. Characterised by the Thin Lizzy’s bluesy rock sound the album is a perfect showcase for the blend of Darren Wharton’s keyboards with Snowy White and Scott Gorham’s guitars. “Renegade” will be reissued in CD format and will contain 5 bonus tracks, including an extended version of “Hollywood” and the edited version of “Renegade”.

“Thunder and Lightning” was released in 1983 and has been regarded as a Thin Lizzy classic – an album that has influenced countless heavy and hard rock bands. Heavier than its predecessor, “Thunder and Lightning” featured new guitarist John Sykes and contained defining Lizzy songs such as the title track, “The Holy War” and “Cold Sweat”“. “Thunder and Lightning” will be released in Deluxe Edition double CD format. The CD will include 13 bonus tracks made up of rare live material and demos, including “The Boys Are Back in Town” live at Hammersmith 1981.

Thin Lizzy is one of rock music’s most recognisable names. The fiery Dublin band exploded onto the scene with a fresh sound, look and attitude. Lead by the incomparable Phil Lynott, the band reached many peaks and influenced generations of musicians with classic tracks such as Jailbreak, The Boys Are Back In Town, Still In Love With You, Cold Sweat, Emerald and Don’t Believe A Word…
